Coupons can be used to offer discounts to your customers. With SiteGUI Commerce, coupons can be created exactly the way you want them to be. You will be able to monitor the coupon usage to see how they perform.

Click on the New menu and choose Coupon to create a new coupon. You may click on the magic wand button to generate a coupon code automatically, you can also change it after it is generated, just make sure it is unique. Next, you may specify critereas for your coupon.

• Type: Fixed Value or Percentage. Choose fixed value if you want to discount a fixed amount (e.g: 5 for $5 discount) for different price products and percentage (e.g: 10 for 10%) if you want to calculate the discount amount from the products' price.
• Filter Type: Excluding means the coupon can be applied to all the products/variants except specific collections/products/variants listed in the applicable collections/products/variants. Including should be chosen when the coupon can be applied to specific collections/products/variants only.
• Applicable Collections/Products/Variants: choose specific collections, products, variants to apply the filter. If the coupon should be applied to all the products, just choose Excluding as the Filter type and leave the applicable Collections/Products/Variants empty.
• Required quantity: this applies to each item in the shopping cart. The item quantity must be equal or greater than the required quantity before the coupon can be applied to that item.
• Required product: Specify a product name to make the coupon valid only when customers purchase the specified product. The coupon will be invalid if the condition are not met.
• Required purchase amount: set the minimum purchase amount to apply the coupon only when the order amount exceeds this value. The maximum purchase amount may be set if the coupon offers a percentage discount and you do not want it to exceed a certain value.
• Limit Usage: specify the number of coupon to limit the number of times the coupon can be used. You can also set the maximum amount for percentage discount to cap the percentage discount to a certain amount (in case the calculated percentage discount is higher than that).
• Apply Once: enable to apply the coupon to just a single quantity of an item in the order even though multiple quantities/items are eligible. The item selected is the one that yields the highest discount amount.
• Apply Once/Customer: enable to limit single coupon usage per each customer. Customers cannot use the coupon to order again.
• New Customer Only: enable to limit the coupon to new customers only, existing customers cannot use the coupon.
• Allow free shipping: enable to allow free shipping for the order no matter how much the shipping fee is.
• Start/End Date: specify the dates and times that the coupon is valid, it is invalid before the Start Date and after the End Date.

Click on the App Listing menu and choose Coupons to list all available coupons. Each coupon will show the discount value, the total number of coupons and how many have been consumed. You may edit, clone, delete coupons or change the Start Date/End Date to enable/disable a coupon.
