Introduction to the SiteGUI platform

GUI pronounced like goo-ey /'gu: i/ stands for Graphical User Interface. SiteGUI provides different user interfaces within web browsers to allow users to build their websites or develope cloud applications. SiteGUI is not just about themes and templates, it is powered by one of the most powerful content management system (CMS) that is comparable to Wordpress, Joomla or Django. SiteGUI CMS is a hybrid CMS system, behind the full featured GUI front-end is an easy to use API layer that can be integrated with any front-end frameworks seemlessly through headless mode.

Using SiteGUI platform is quite easy and straightforward. The menu at the top simply has 4 sub-menus; the first one is Site Manager which shows the current working Site and other Sites the user can manage (user can be the owner or a contributor), this also allows quick switch between Sites. The second one is App Listing sub-menu, it shows all apps installed and available for the current Site. Clicking on an app will show all records for that app and links to manipulate each record. The third sub-menu is used for creating a new App record by clicking on the respective App name and the last one is all about the current user and the account information.

SiteGUI platform supports multiple Sites/Projects in one unified, central dashboard but each Site can be powered by different applications. Site owners may develop more applications to be used with their Sites or to be sold/free to others through SiteGUI Appstore.

SiteGUI Appstore

A Site on the SiteGUI platform can be used for anything, it can be a website, an ecommerce store, a helpdesk portal, a CRM dashboard, a job board or even a forum. For this reason, when a Site is created, only some basic applications are included. Site owners will be able to determine what their Sites are used for by activating suitable applications available on the SiteGUI Appstore (free or for a fee). SiteGUI Appstore has all types of applications, if you cannot find an application for your needs, you may request app developers to build it or even build it yourself.
